November 2010

We had our first snow in November (that snow is still down there under much more snow, and it is March 31!) Patrick was intrigued. I was excited. I am not sure if I will be next year though!

Tahquamenon Falls

Ryan, Mom, Patrick and I went to Tahquamenon Falls recently. Ryan and Patrick had fun running around.

Fall is really beautiful here. I haven't seen trees get so colorful anywhere I have lived.

More October

Now that Patrick could walk, he and Ryan developed a new favorite activity. They enjoy growling and chasing each other.

October 2010

This halloween I got a weird pumpkin with a LOT of strings inside. Patrick helped me carve it by giving instructions from his near by high chair.

September 2010 - a little late

I just have to get these pictures on the blog. We had a great October, didn't know what kind of winter was ahead of us!! Below is Patrick having fun with pumpkins. He had just started walking pretty recently in these pictures.

Whitefish Bay / Lake Superior

A couple of weeks ago we headed to Paradise, Michigan to go to the Blueberry Festival. We weren't very impressed, so we decided to visit the beach so Patrick could play. This is on Whitefish Bay, part of Lake Superior. We liked this NOAA weather station and lighthouse.
Patrick and Mommy.
That is Canada across the bay. They have some windmills up on the ridge.

Patrick is pretty curious and it was impossible to keep him out of the water.

Chippewa County Fair

We visited the Chippewa County Fair this weekend. It was a typical county fair. We loved seeing the animals. Here is Patrick in front of his first pig.Patrick decided to pick the cow's nose.
Visiting with sheep and a goat.
A mean donkey.
At this moment, the donkey was biting Patrick. Patrick tugged his hand and the donkey didn't let go. Following this moment was a look of surprise once he got his hand back, then a moment of pouting, then the crying. It didn't break his skin, but left a mark and really hurt Patrick's feelings!
